Log leaders Hwange FC are one win away from winning the 2026 Pacific Breeze Southern
Region Division One league and making a triumphant return into the top flight.
This afternoon Chipangano face a tricky stubborn side Bulawayo Warriors who are capable of delaying the much expected fire works at White City Stadium.
Mathematically Chipangano need a straight win to attain promotion into the Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premier League regardless of the result from second placed Talen Vision.
Talen Vision are separated by four points from the log leaders and will also lock horns with Division Two bound Bosso90. The Mabaleka coached side has already faced the dreaded chop.
With two games left to play in the league Talen Vision hope Bulawayo Warriors will hand over a shock defeat to Chipangano while they collect maximum points against Bosso90.
Matchday 33 is a mouth watering fixture for two title chasing teams which are both playing under the same kickoff time.
Last week Talen Vision dropped crucial points after losing to Inyathi based outfit Casmyn while Hwange cruised past Bosso90 with a 3-0 win extending their lead on the table to four points.
Talen Vision and Hwange are not only rivals on the league table, but also in the race for the golden boot accolade. Their fowards have been lethal infront of goal showing great thirst.
Hwange FC’s Morestuff Ncube and Gabriel Rugoho from Talen Vision are both at 15 goals leading the race while Marshal Murambiwa of Bulawayo Warriors trails with 14 goals. Veteran striker Justin Kaunda has 13 goals.
The Chipangano fowards Morestuff Ncube and Justin Kaunda have so far impressively scored 28 goals with two games left to compete the league. Hwange has a total of 58 goals.
Chipangano lead the race with 73 points, 58goals, 22 wins, 7 draws, 3 defeats and only conceding 7 goals. Talen Vision have 20 wins, 9 draws, 3 defeats, 63 goals, 69 points and conceding 22 goals from 32 matches.
A win for Hwange means that, they will be the first team to be promoted among other teams from the four regions with Blanket Mine from Central Region edging closer to promotion.
In the Northern Region Black Rhinos lead by three points ahead of Harare City while in the Eastern Region Yadah are the front runners ahead of Deportivo la Murambinda.
