Harare, (New Ziana) – Chinhoyi residents have showered praises on Government for the various projects and programmes it has implemented to better their lives.

In several interviews conducted on the sidelines of the ongoing Zanu PF national people’s conference, the residents expressed satisfaction and gratitude towards the improved water supplies which they acknowledged brought relief to the city.

“Access to clean water is one of the most important needs for every household.

“The expansion of water connections in Chinhoyi is a welcome development because it has the potential to reduce the challenges families face in accessing this precious resource.

“We appreciate efforts to improve water infrastructure, and we hope more households will benefit from these initiatives,” Marvelous Chinomona who resides in Chikonohono suburb.

Ruth Matenga, a second year student at Chinhoyi University of Technology (CUT) spoke glowingly about the improvement of accommodation at the institution.

“The refurbishment of student accommodation and staff houses at the campus is a positive step towards improving the learning environment. As students we need decent accommodation to concentrate on our studies, while staff members also deserve suitable housing.

“These developments show the importance of investing in education and the welfare of the university community. The construction of accommodation for more than 1,000 students is a significant development for Chinhoyi.

“Adequate accommodation can ease pressure on students searching for places to stay and improve overall university experience. We commend the Government and its partners for supporting infrastructure that contributes to the development of young people,” she said.

A visit to Chinhoyi Hospital revealed Government’s intervention to invest at the institution is expected to improve healthcare.

“The planned solar power plant and medical oxygen facility at Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital are encouraging developments for our healthcare sector.

Reliable electricity is important in hospitals, especially when treating patients who need continuous medical attention.

“We hope these facilities will improve service delivery and help healthcare workers provide better care to the community,” said a member of staff who preferred anonymity.
